Dear Friends,

This August, Father Sullivan is taking on an incredible challenge: he is cycling across the Swiss, Italian, and French Alps. It’s an ambitious journey, and he is doing it to shine a light on the steep, uphill battles so many of our families face every day right here in Waterbury.

He is riding for our children, and he needs you on his team to help them reach the summit.

Here at Catholic Academy of Waterbury, roughly 50% of our families live at or below the federal poverty level. Christ founded His Church for the poor, and our mandate from the Gospel of Matthew is non-negotiable: “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them.” (19:14)

While we have successfully frozen tuition at $5,975 for four consecutive years, we must confront a sobering reality: "frozen" is not the same as "affordable." For too many moms and dads, that number still forces a heartbreaking choice between basic necessities and the faith-based education they love.

It is time to move beyond simple tuition freezes toward a funding model built on true solidarity. We want to ensure no parent ever has to choose between a full dinner plate and a Catholic Academy desk.

Father Sullivan is taking to the mountains to prove that no obstacle is too big when it comes to protecting our students' future. Every single penny given goes directly to supporting our students and breaking down these financial barriers.

Whether you choose to make a one-time gift to boost this summer appeal, or join us as a recurring monthly donor to provide steady, predictable support for our future, your generosity changes lives.

As Father Sullivan pedals across Europe, will you join him by making a gift today to secure a bright, sustainable future for these precious children?

In Prayerful Gratitude,

Christa
