Recent events have underscored the importance of social-emotional learning. Thankfully, our mission as a Catholic School has always been to educate the whole child: academically, personally, and spiritually. In active partnership with parents who are the primary educators of their children, at Catholic Academy of Waterbury, we have several strategic initiatives in place to do just this for all members of our school community.
Ms. Ashley Skipp, MSW, is our school social worker who partners directly with administration, staff, and families to support the well-being of each of our students. She provides individual or group support to students and can assist in connecting families to community resources.
Classroom teachers employ Friendzy, a standards-aligned, comprehensive social-emotional learning program.
Coupled with our small, nurturing, family atmosphere, all of our students are poised for success, both academically and personally, now and in the future.
