Catholic Academy of Waterbury values and relies on our volunteers in order to thrive as a Catholic school community. The time and talents that parents share help build and strengthen our school family, and reinforce the importance of community in our students.
Our parent organization, The Home & School Association, plans many activities throughout the school year. Visit our Home and School page to learn more. In order to ensure the safety of our students, participation in a Virtus Training Workshop and background checks are required for all employees and volunteers.
The Virtus Training Workshops are available throughout the year and are coordinated by various parishes in the Archdiocese. Please click here for a full list of workshops available and to register online. Following the completion of the Virtus Training Workshop, volunteers receive a certificate of completion which must be submitted to the school office.
Background checks are processed through the Chancery of the Archdiocese of Hartford. This process includes the completion of a form, which is available on line and also in the school office.
Anyone wishing to participate in any student-centered activities in or out of school must complete the background form and submit it to the office.
